What is your general belief about these different communication methods, in terms of safety?
Second question is for those who stay away from Ouija boards but think EVP and other psi mediums (divining rods, tarot cards, etc.) can't create problems:
Why do you think this - how did you become so certain?
There are reports of problems from using mediums other than Ouija boards. ... Thanks.
To me one form of divination is no different than another. I know a lot of people swear against Ouija. But used to make my own and do with my friends with little scraps of paper.......I don't know I guess it just depends on the energies that one person is working with. I don't think one form of divination is worse than another or more dangerous.
Actually yes praying you must pray in spirit, Even Jesus said this. Now the type of spirit in which one prays will determine the outcome of the prayer. As for the bible being of old, yes it sure is, and it is of the now. take a look around not much has changed if at all since it was written down in word. And yes it uses much symbolism with in it, this is confusing to a lot of people who read it. I do not take the bible word for word, but I do adhere to the message it gives and the meaning behind the message.
Communications with spirits during the biblical period was due to people making them into gods or deity's at that time..These people were always relying upon them for everything..This in part was from the time of the Lucifer Rebellion on Earth...and our planet was quarantined from the Spirit Realm...After Jesus died and came back was when spirit communication was re-opened some...Spirit is NOT permitted to interfere with you, unless you invite spirit into your life....The bible was based on the ORAL Word before it was placed into writing and many words have become lost in translation from one language to another throughout time..Example: Door is considered a Portal in some cases....Now if one will take the word Lord and substitute the word Law for it in some places, one will be able to read something entirely New with a different meaning....
Used all the above. Couldn't figure out tarot cards, though my sisters use them pretty well. Personally, it's like doing counseling with really pretty cards. I used a ouija board when I was younger and dumber than I am now. I won't touch one, just because of my experiences (though they too can be swayed by muscle movements) and I would never take one on an investigation. Too many theories, not enough proof for me to even try. My luck, I'd get possessed by Liberace and have an affinity for feather boas.
I do use dowsing rods, though I'm still on the fence about them. Somewhere in the back of my mind the idea that they are just as bad as ouija boards is there. I use them, not to communicate, but to point to where energy is in the room. Sort of like a ghost detector and a couple of times, I flat out refused to use them in certain investigations, because I had a bad feeling. (always trust your gut)
As DavTrav said, in the bible all forms of spirit communication is bad. Some people believe that even doing EVP work can get you into trouble. We just don't know. My beef with the bible, don't you pray and talk to the Holy Spirit? Saints, or even God for that matter? Why are they off limits? Or how about when I talk to my deceased father, is that not okay?
