New Take on Old Ghosts
Posted On: 07/10/2008 18:03:23

So many great old haunted legends and stories surrounding famous locations that are supposed to be true.  Yet whenever you read about these stories, they are always the famous encounters from decades, even centuries ago.  These stories are wonderful if you are new to the paranormal, but for someone who has read the same accounts over and over and over again . . . aren't there any new sightings, ever???

I want to know if anyone has had personally, or read about recent sightings at the following places:  Tower of London, Hampton Court, Glamis Castle, Leap Castle, Resurrection Cemetery, Roosevelt Hotel, Hollywood Sign, and all the other famous haunted places.

????? Anyone ?????

Funny thing this blog showing up now. Well, yesterday morning a man was murdered about a mile from my oldest son (he's a current Police Officer & his mother is the area's District Judge). He is going this afternoon to take photos of the area since the crime scene was cleared. Then we can go back and put a traditional theory to the test again.

Does a murdered person stay in the place they were murdered because they possibly don't realize what has happened, etc.

Will keep you all posted.

I wonder about ghosts in that same manner as GhostBreakers.  WHEN and IF a person becomes a ghost, is there a time frame?  When I bought my home...no one would touch it.  The house had been on the market for more than seven years when I found it.  A man died in this house, but I have never felt anything unusual.  We did an investigation here last October and turned up nothing.  That's not to say the ol' fella ain't here...we just didn't find him or anything else.

Is there even a documented case where someone died and immediately became a ghost?  It is my understanding that there is a time period before some place is considered haunted. I have out of curiosity checked places that murders occured and never found anything. (sort of a perk of my profession. Being able to get access soon after, I mean) Anyway, my understanding is that the time period is longer than the normal human has on this world. Oh, I have heard stories but none of them rang true.

Alas, the only new sightings I know of have been from Ghost Hunters or GHI TV shows and even there you never know.

I am thinking of starting a free banner exchange for anyone with a paranormal website. If you think this is a good idea then let me know. If there is enough interest I'd start it up.
