Okay, I'm one of those idiots that just had to see if this was true.....and, in my case anyway, it was! It depends on the brand, but some have AA batteries and some have C cells in them. As for the 32 AA (1.5 volt) batteries adding up to 6 volts, there are 8 banks of 4, each bank wired in series with the banks wired parallel to each other, giving you 6 volts, but more amperage and longer life....
Can't wait to see what you find out Kim. I don't want to read in the paper that GhostBreakers blows up while trying to pry battery open. Be safe. Vicky
Good research on your part, Kim. Let us know how it turns out. If it's untrue, then I can add this to the blog so others don't waste their time and money.
Well, this was interesting. So, I went to You Tube and saw several videos that showed that this wasn't true. Then there is another by I believe this guy, that says it has to be a WalGreens Battery. He shows a brand new unopened battery. He says you must take the paper off. (I don't know why. It doesn't make sense) Then he breaks it open with a screw driver. BUT, the tape looks like it stops and starts again as it is opened and many different type and size batteries fall out. This time there are Panasonic, and others inside. Ther are AA and C batteries not to mention rechargeable batteries. Now that threw up a red flag for me. If true why put rechargable batteries in it?
Well, I have $5 in my pocket and a Walgreens not far from home. No way to be sure unless I find out for myself. I will try to get there today and let you know what happened.
Great if it's true but I have my doubts for many reasons...
