Maybe a construct, like a room, can exist on different dimensional levels (?)

Regarding the other comments here about things taking place at the same time, just different levels, there was a program on tv a few years ago, I think it took place at the Biltmore Estate in Ashville, NC (but I'm not absolutely certain about that location), where two flesh-and-blood people were walking dow the hall and happened upon two 'ghosts' from the last century, who were gliding down the hall in silent conversation with each other.  The 'ghosts' suddenly turned and looked at the solid people, and the woman ghost had a look of horror on her face, and both of them either disappeared on the spot or retreated down the hall and disappeared.  It was exactly like they thought the solid people were doing the haunting. 

Did anyone else ever see that show?

All time dimensions (past, Present and Future) exist at the same Time...This is what we see or hear when these dimensional lines cross our paths and touch for what ever period they do...

I have often pondered this question and have yet to find a true answer or at least one I can rely on consistently.   I am not a big believer in residual haunts although I don't put it out of my realm of acceptance.  I have too  many interactive EVPs.

I, for now, have the opinion that the spirit can live in whatever time or place it wants to live in, especially, those times and places it is familiar with.  For example, let's take haunted lighthouses.  The keepers were important men in their time.  Perhaps lonely, but nevertheless, important.  Why would they want to give up that importance after they died? That may be why they still haunt the lighthouses.

You hear of the female appartitions dressed in white on the old plantations.  Perhaps they were living in a time peaceful to them.  It may be the place they wish to live eternity or until whatever comes after.  Some choose peaceful places, others may choose violent, depending on what they are comfortable with.

I have another theory is that some spirits try to recreate the time they died so they may change the outcome.  This was made very apparent to me by an EVP I obtained from Ghost Hunters of Antiago.  It was the sound of a shooting in an old brothel.  Perhaps some of these spirits stay to change an event that changed their lives.

Other spirits may be lost (I have one of those EVPs) and some submissive spirits may be held captive by dominate spirits ( I also have 2 of those.) 

I don't believe the time continuum shifts but I do believe that spirits may be living in their own memory in places that we also can visit.  Again I say, if someone has a definite answer, I would like to hear it.  Nitewing

in my opinion lemberger to your question....not nessasarily...along with tears in time there also exist vortexes.....which to make a long story short...the earth is like a grid with tatonic plates that shift constantly so around there edges there are gaps which has a lot to do with the earths gravitational pull and the electrical currents or so thats my understanding....ok so im not a scientist but i love science.....

     My sister and I had the same conversation.  My sister knows way more than I do about quantum physics, but she does believe that what we experience is just an overlap of time.

     What I don't understand is, then how does that work for things that move?  What makes some movements cross the space time continuum, while others stay where they are at?  Wouldn't things be moving all the time? 

     It was cool though.

I've often thought that many of the paranormal experiences are an overlap of dimensions.  That might be the explanation for UFO's as well as many of the cryptozoological creatures that wonder this world with us. There are too many things that have gone on in this world that have been witnessed by intelligent people but can not be explained.
