I'm a former nurse and haven't worked in that field for about four years. (burnout) Finally decided to get my ass moving and go back to college...just can't decide on a major. My degree was in science-nursing. I have no desire to go back into that field. My dad used to tell me that I was making a career outta going to college. Pfft! Whatever old man!
Crap-what do I want to be when I grow up...ha...that is IF I ever grow up.
Be a massage therapist. People are happy to see you when arrive, happy and relaxed when they leave. Plus you don't have to deal with insurance if you choose not to. With your nursing background, you would be such an asset to the field!
What do you do in your spare time (other than dabble in the paranormal, that is)?
Do you want to help people? Would your skills so far translate into psychology or social work?
What drives you?
You should take a career aptitude test and see what it tells you. If you still just don't know, do a general degree program until something snags you.
Congratulations on going back to school... wish it were me giving that news! I can't wait to be in a place I can go back and finish my graduate studies!
You and I are alot alike as far as college goes. When I graduated high school I went to college to play football and party. Too bad I actually had to go to class in order to play football. This past December I finally completed my BA at the age of 35. It is not easy nor fun but worth it. Good luck and hang in there!
Congratulations on going back. I started back in 2006. Have to admit it has been hard for me but well worth it. I am sure you find the field that you will be very happy in.
I am thinking of starting a free banner exchange for anyone with a paranormal website. If you think this is a good idea then let me know. If there is enough interest I'd start it up.
