Overnights are too short - ghosts don't perform on command.  You need a good month at a haunted location to really see what's going on.  Keep the recording devices going day and night and do an extensive background into the people involved, the history of the location and vicinity, check out all geological characteristics of the place, and check weather patterns, etc., basically, thoroughly check out all possible factors that could contribute to a haunting.

Time consuming, maybe expensive, impractical for some people - yes.  But I can't think of a better way to get to the truth of the subject at hand.

    However, I think that the supposedly "True" shows that have popped up  the past few years have run their course. No one but the gullible believe them anymore. Maybe a regular TV show on the lines of maybe CSI about Paranormal Investigation. This way you can explain at the beginning that the shows are based on actual investigations but everyone wont be fooled into thinking the show is real. Sort of like the old Sightings but a TV show instead of a reality show.

     I would make it a parody of all the Paranormal Shows out there now.  Starting with all the old episodes and making them a true comedy.

     If it wasn't a comedy, I would have a changing host, so we don't have to hear the same voice over and over.  I would show one investigation for a season.  Every hour of investigation, every minute of research, every second of dealing with the client.  Can you imagine, one investigation for a whole fricken season?  It would be on for decades, decades I tell you!!!!!

  I would not make it all about "evil hauntings", some people actually do enjoy their ghosts.

 The host? My nephew Lou Houchin. He would make a great host!!!!
