Everything comes to a end. The interest in the field of paranormal investergation will wane. All paranormal shows will some day be cancel. Websites will close because of lack of interest. Groups will also fold. Everything goes in trends, and this trend will end also. What will you do to keep the interest in the paranormal alive within your self.
I see that most that have replyed to the bog were like me interested in the Paranormal from a young age. The die hards. Yes their will always be die hards. But what about the rest. The people who have the fad interest will be gone. And I think we will be lucky have 25% of the people interested in this field that we have now. Alan your a die hard. But you know a drop of interest mean a drop in advertisment. And Alan I ask you honest, would there be a IAH if it were not for the TV fad of Ghost Hunter, etc. Lem, sorry to depress you, I am just looking for answers, Like were will we all be when this is over.
I've been doing this for 19 years now. I'm not going anywhere as long as I have breath. IAH will go as long as its members see fit to visit here.
I would have to say if someone is only interested in the paranormal because of TV and pop culture then their interest is less then genuine to begin with. I'm all for the fad dying and those less then flattering TV shows to disappear. I believe at that point things will go back to what they were before TV and I'm all for that.
Wow, a little depressing are we? LOL I agree with Krista, I've been interested since I was young. I didn't think there were groups out there, but this burst of interest gave me an avenue to find one.
I'll just keep on doing what I'm doing now. Gotta ebb and flow with the tide.
I think a good portion of us were interested in the paranormal and paranormal investigation long before any of these television shows or websites showed up. For me it started when I was quite young - grade school age! I'll keep doing what I do and once the shows are cancelled and websites shut down - I'll buy books, seek experience and knowledge through investigation and will always be driven by my curiosity and need to know what lies in the darkness.
Keep living in this haunted house. I have kept my interest in the paranormal alive since elementary school and it's stronger than ever. Now that I'm starting to "see people" on the job, life is getting very interesting.
I am thinking of starting a free banner exchange for anyone with a paranormal website. If you think this is a good idea then let me know. If there is enough interest I'd start it up.
