My mine is a terrible pace to Haunt
Posted On: 07/21/2008 13:34:27

Here I go thinking to much. Again I have a question. There are many different theories on why Ghost don't cross over. One of the theories I heard of is the the ghost does not know its dead. That leaves me to ask you guys this question. If we take my house that was built in 1920 and my house was haunted from a ghost from back in the day. And this ghost did not know its dead. Would this ghost get confussed and ask themselfs who these people living in my house. They are wearing such strange clothes. And would not all the moden appliances  that they see us use confuse them, like the TV, computer, playstation, mirco range, cell phone, etc, etc. You would think that the ghost that does not know that its dead, would have to think something is not right here.

Maybe I just think to much.

 To
better give opinion to what you are asking. It seems like they see it
in another point in time. Like when the spirit is seen descending down
through a floor as though a staircase is there, while it used to be a
cellar access some 50 years ago. The spirit still makes it's way down
the stairs because in their afterlife perspective, their old house is
still as it was when they lived in it.

Lets look at it from this perspective: Take the threads of time and see them all blowing in the wind (like a kites tail) and every once in a while these threads of time happen to cross our time thread and we see these Spirits acting accordingly...Then we have what's a matter of Spirits having choices...Some stay for unfinished business and others come to watch-over family or loved ones...Others just don't want to move forward into the next phase of existence..For what ever other reasons you want to consider...

pattyn. The whole point of my question is that they don't now their dead. So they are still not on the other side.

I really think that they learn on the other side as to what we do and how we live, they are of course lean more to what they know when they lived.

Ken. I see what you mean by the Ghost seeing what was, when they were alive. But and theres always a but. Why does activity kick up when construction is being done on the home. Again another theory is you are changing the look of their home, and they may not like it.

I think there are too many variables in this 'other life phase'. Enough to say it is customize to the person. From experience and study, this scenerio you mention seems to have been true at times for 'some' spirits.
(Trumped by the usual 'Demonic masquerade', sorry had to remind of that)

I
am not sure why some "Researchers/Writers"even classify types of ghost
according to their 'behavior', as they do calling a dark shadowy figure
"Hat Man" simply because it apparently has a hat. Now why is it so unusual to have a ghost whom wears a hat? And why classifiy it as a type: Hat Man?

Of course I am not a
believer in the old crusty outdated 'residuals theories' either, as I feel the
'projection' of the spirit is not a natural occurrence, simply because
it doesn't interact with the current environment and people.

When we die do we get stupid and not know whats going on? The only instance that would make me think a ghost may not realize its dead is someone dying in there sleep. But hey add that to the long list of theories. Maybe they just stick around or visit cause they can or want to?
