If im not mistaken either; Capt Ruppelt in his book, pointed out the fact that Kenneth Arnold witnessed swept wing aircraft and not saucers. And Arnold himself in later interviews said the same thing that Ruppelt put in his book. He also mentioned early reports from Pilots, all seeing swept winged aircraft moving at fantastic speeds. If I'm not mistaken the Germans recovered a crash around that time.  I remember interviewing the author of "SS Brotherhood of the Bell" and that was what it was about.  You should read up on that.  Very interesting.
