I don't come here as often as I would like. For some reason, I have trouble pulling up the site. It can take as long as 4 minutes. Pulling up the forums takes even longers. I have a super computer. My husband is an IT guy, so we have 'the latest' of whatever. I shut off the virus scanner but that hasn't helped. I don't have this problem with any other sites, just iamhaunted. Suggestions?
I don't even try at peak times. I have gotten kicked off, when I finally get on. Sometimes, I can log on quick enough, but trying to get from page to page is like pulling toenails.
I just try to go on at odd times. Or what I think is an odd time. LOL
That's odd... I don't have a problem with this site in general, just the forums. Takes me less than a minute to log on and get where I need to go. The forums are another story but as Alan said he's working on that.
What are you running for internet? Cable or DSL? I know cable networks in bigger areas can become congested at peak times.
The forums are slow. Until I can afford a larger server I can't do much about that. We have grown substantially and we are under pretty heavy load.
The rest of the site however has not been a problem for me. I know some have mentioned it but I have not experienced it myself. Likely the cause for anything other then forums is internet congestion.
I should also add our house is Wifi, not dial up. It doesn't matter where I am sitting, outside or in. It seems to be a 'traffic' thing here. Right now I'm able to pull most blogs up no problem. It's early afternoon. In the morning, this site loads at a snails pace. Any ideas whY?
I am thinking of starting a free banner exchange for anyone with a paranormal website. If you think this is a good idea then let me know. If there is enough interest I'd start it up.
