Gosh that sounds bad...I think you have some good answers here but you have to decide what you are comfortable with and go with that decision.  I am sorry you had such a "bad" experience I wish I could help you more but it it helps I do support you in whatever you decide.  :)

I agree with spiritsister. You either saw her the way she is now or how she died. Either way this is obvio usly information that the seeker either knows, or does not and wishes to know. You need to act with caution while doing readings of this nature. It is sometimes hard to tell of the living what they want, as with the dead. I do card readings, but make it a rule to never answere direct questions about the dead, to avoid similar happensatance. Keep your readings to the seeker, and THIER future. It's less complicated that way. You have a gift sweetie. Now the question is, How do you feel comfortable using it?

It does not sound fabricated to me,it sounds like you got the bad end of a reading. most of the time we do see people as the looked in life but once in a while we get that bad reading where they come to us as dead. I agree the woman was probably wanting you to see her this way so you could tell the family that it was a homicide. If it were me I would go ahead and do one more reading if I could and then that would be the end of it. Good luck in what ever you decide to do.

There are several reasons she could have been "icky dead".  She could have been showing you how she looked when she was found for confirmation, she could be a ghost, she could be showing herself as she is now (if she wasn't found yet)...

If you are not comfortable with what you are seeing do not continue.  Tell them firmly but kindly that even though you made a momentary connection you are not able to continue on because you can't handle seeing things like that.  If you feel like you can push through the initial revulsion/fear/whatever, try to do it because obviously you can make a connection with her.  If you do that make sure you make it VERY clear that you will do ONE reading, you will get all the information you can in the one reading and then you're done (and stick to it or they'll be after you for the rest of your life asking you to talk to her).
