Our group has been asked to do a TV segment for our local cable channel.

We did the interview tonight and that will air on May 10^th.

On May 10^th while the interview is airing we are going back to the Knickerbocker with a film crew for an investigation.

The investigation will air about the 24^th of May.

Well we finally got over everything gathered for our groups investigation at the Knickerbocker.  Yes its the same Knickerbocker as shown on Paranormal Stink.  I mean Paranormal State.

We investigated two days prior to their show airing and again ..... Man were they way off.

The Oil Region Paranormal Investigation Team has been asked to investigate the Knickerbocker Hotel in Linesville PA.

 

The investigation will be conducted on 3-15-08.

I was talking with the G.F. last night and were just talking about “haunted locations” in the area that we live and one particular cemetery came in to conversation.

The story goes that a male murdered all of his children, wife then himself and they are all buried in this cemetery.  ( I have nothing to back the story up with. All been passed down).

Well her friend (male) took a piece of slate and made it in to a tombstone.  Put his girlfriends name on it, with the date and at the bottom will you marry me?  Then took it to the old cemetery placed it on the ground and covered it with leaves and twigs.

 

Heres the good part

 

So now he picks up the girlfriend, goes for a ride and end up to this LONG LONG path to get to the cemetery.  They start the hike and he tells her of the stories of the murderous male and the family that is buried in the cemetery.

 

Get to the cemetery and start looking at all of the old tombstones.  He bends down to uncover the slate one that he made and she was watching him.

Of course he cleaned it off from the top to the bottom so she sees her name, the date (present date) and starts to FREAK OUT thinking that the boyfriend went nuts and was going to kill her.  He quickly uncovers the rest of it and she realizes what is now going on and starts crying and says yes.

 

Im not sure if I agree with proposing to someone in an old cemetery…… but damn is this funny and I just had to share. J

Ok.. Well this is round two from my last Paranormal State blog…….

I watched this with a VERY open mind taking in all things from different aspects of paranormal investigation.

My conclusion………  

These guys may be on to something…..  but the show STINKS…  with a capital S.T.I.N.K.

I can respect that they are here to investigate and help out all people… Rich, poor or somewhere in the middle… That I admire…. their are too many people out there to make a quick buck on investigating but these guys don’t do that.

They approached the disarray of the trailer with the best tactics that I have ever seen.  Me personally would have felt disgusted.  Still have done the investigation, but the mess would have played in the back of my mind.  (don’t say you wouldn’t have done the same thing).

I do say good job on that……

BUT……..  if you are making a show on mediums and psychics’ PLEASE put the hard evidence with what they are feeling……  Motion lights are good.. but they deff. Have the funding to add cameras..  Mediums and Psychics take a lot of heat…..  lets back it up a little bit of evidence….

And I am sorry, I am ignorant…  but the chick on the little boat with the knife was a bit much…

Not that it was wrong, I understand the whole reasoning behind it…  but tell the audience what you are doing prior to doing it…

I was waiting for Jason to come out of the water and kill her.. (from Halloween if you don’t get it)…but then after the whole chick with a knife thing they went on to say it was a ritual to rid bad spirits………..   just bad editing again…..

I cant help to feel that this show is like watching Law and Order, Survivor or some other reality show.. they are playing up a big showdown with the evil spirit and not backing up with anything…………..

 

Just like the rest of the reality shows…I will continue to watch it and let people know what I think…(just because)….  

But I don’t like it….  Please make it a show to back up all different types of paranormal investigation… DON’T put a little bit out there that means something but nothing at the same time….

We are all in this for the same reason  (I hope)…

But this show is dumb….  They are out there for ratings only…..

This is my opinion and nothing more..  which does not count for much….

But DANG…… If I were a medium or psychic I would be more than a little upset with the way this show is coming out..

Wow... I cant believe I wasted my time watching the Paranormal State program on A&E.

What exactly was the point?  we investigated...  we talked to people...  we felt something...  we blessed the house... ...

we show no evidence

Given the kid pointing out Timmy was cool.. but other than that.. geese.

And whats the deal with the group crying at the cemetery??

The medium walks in..... Does she sleep in this room?  No crap sherlock.. what gave it away?  the dolls?  HAHA.

And what the hell is with the directors log?  Ryan likes the sound of his own voice....

I just thought that they would try to be a bit more scientific and not all psycic evidence.

Not sure why they even have equipment.  Dont look like they use it for much

I realise its  a new show ... I guess I just expected more.

Was wondering if anyone out there has used any system like the 4-Channel USB DVR system for video capture.

Im well aware that the I.R. cam that you use on an investigation will deturmin the quality of footage captured...  Ive just never heard of this USB DVR and wondered if anyone has used it and if it seems to capture the cams ok (speed wise).

Dont want to buy something that takes footage at like 2 per sec...

PLEASE let me know if anyone has used this and if its any good.
