Am I alone in this.....
Posted On 06/04/2008 07:17:32

I want to start off by saying this is not directed at any one person...it's just something I've been wondering for a while. I haven't posted about it simply to avoid drama...but it's eating at me so here goes.....

When did we lose our backbone?

About a year or so ago(I'm horrible w/timeframes) the paranormal world became anything goes. Suddenly every one's sensitive and everyone has a pic that's just amazing. I'm sorry, but if it was that common...it wouldn't be paranormal!

What happened to debunking? Try to rule everything out, and if we still can't figure it out..we have something to talk about. I read a bulletin(not on here) about a woman who was vacuuming and sensed a presence so she ran and got her camera...anyone wanna guess what she got? Yep a room full of dead relatives saying hi! And every poster wrote..."Nice cap!" or..." I'm picking up your aunt.." Seriously? No one questioned that it could be DUST!  And it's like hanging yourself if you try to explain camera shake to someone.

It just feels like we've become such pacifists. It's ok to say your opinion. It's ok to give your view. If you post a pic or evp and ppl question it, so what? Why do we worry so much about what others say? You were there you know what happened, you posted the pic. But be honest...did you post it to get ppls opinions or to have everyone ohh and ahh?

I just feel like if we want ppl to take us seriously, we need to be a bit more serious. Be honest, be frank. There's no need for cruelty or ridicule. No need to try to make someone feel stupid. I learned ALOT from ppl on here, and I respect those ppl greatly. But I learned because they explained other possibilities to me.

Again, this may seem out of the blue. And it's a bit of a rant, but it's a culimation of diff groups and diff ppl. I haven't been on here for a while...so this honestly is not an attack on anyone here. I just felt this was the best place for my vent. If you feel I'm completely off base let me know! Maybe I'm just looking at it wrong. I was just hoping someone out there agreed with me!

Have a wonderful day! :)

At a loss...involves my son.

Ok, I thought I had cleared my home of all entities. I was pretty secure in that fact. But now my 5yr old-who has always told me about the ppl that come through his walls, has become very vocal about the people that come in his room. He's convinced a man comes through his window and tries to get him to leave the house w/him. There's another man waiting for him outside. But those two haven't shown up since the angel appeared and scared them away. This angel is a man, and Jake can see his feet, and his outline, an outline of his features, but he's all white. I tried to comfort Jake and tell him that the angel was a good thing, but he says the angel scares him because he looked really mad that day and he's always following him. He feels the angel is chasing him, he also told me that the angel used to hang on the wall but it came to life...I told him I never hung an angel on the wall and he said it was from the ppl that used to live here. I don't know...I'm running out of things to say to comfort him.  He says there was 3 monsters, 2 ghosts and the angel that have been in there. I suggested having the house blessed and making sure we paid special attention to the windows to make sure nothing else comes in...he suggested duct tape! lol

I know this is an odd ramble...but I could use advice...please!

Rob Zombies Halloween
Posted On 10/06/2007 12:19:45

I gotta confess...I am a giant chicken when it comes to scary movies! I rarely watch them because I know I will be scared for days afterwards...I've seen a few Freddy movies and I just watched Children of the Corn last year( I live in Indiana- there's a cornfield in every neighborhood!) I had never seen a Halloween movie till last night. Yes it freaked me out, yes I turned all the lights on, but answer me this: in the original do you feel really bad for Michael too? because I felt really bad for Michael in this. Poor guy just wanted to see his sister!!!!!!

Investigation Issues
Posted On 07/04/2007 15:41:28
Hey Guys!!! Next week I'm supposed to go on a little investigation. The problem is our group is not quite seeing eye to eye on things. Were not a formal group, just a group of 5 who want to have an interesting day. We were just s'posed to make a day of it, visit some places that have had activity reports, visit some other cool places, and then as darkness falls check out the local legends of a place called Hells Gate and the railroad tracks where you supposedly see the lantern of the guy looking for his daughter. Problem is one of the girls thinks it's a waste of time to visit places during the day(not scary enough, won't see anything). I've always thought that if it's there at night...it's there during the day. What do you guys think???

sometimes groups confuse me
Posted On 06/21/2007 20:24:29

A few days ago there was a blog posted about ppl backing out of an investigation, this blog has NOTHING to do w/that one-please don't take this personal.

I believe that alot of times activity is fleeting. It's kinda like luck, sometimes you have it, sometimes you don't. But if you live in a house like this, the idea of stirring something up and making it angry is terrifying. Sometimes ppl just want to hear "I believe you". Sometimes they want to know the history of the land but don't know how to go about it. Sometimes they just need a friend to say it will be ok, try this or this, or feel free to call me at 3am if you need to.

I just read a rant by a local group that called ppl who backed out liars. They actually wrote that on their site! So now potential clients who are probably already nervous and/or scared are now being called liars! The group also stated that now that they know of a place to investigate they should go to the site or around the premises anyway to see what they can find.  Were not talking about museums-we're talking about private homes!

I didn't think it was an investigators "right" to look at a space just because they wanted to. It's sad that some groups want attention so bad that they'll stoop to trespassing and invading ppls privacy to get it!

Sorry this blog may seem a bit bratty, but they just really frustrated me to no end...and now I feel better

Did I capture slimer?

I know some ppl are tired of Waverly-I'm not. I took this pic at at 1:45a -my question is what is the green? It has a reflection, and it wasn't visible to me when I shot it. I took the pic at a moment when I felt I was being followed. Which could have been anything...it was Waverly after all!

Would you poll....
Posted On 06/18/2007 13:54:54
I just saw a poll asking if you would sleep in a bedroom that you knew to be haunted. That's actually a toughie! For investigation purposes I would sleep in a haunted hotel, for fun I would sleep in a haunted hotel. But my bedroom at home is haunted and I WILL NOT sleep in there. I have lived here for 7yrs and have slept in there twice. Once during the day. Theres  just something about trying to sleep and hearing ppl talk, that you can't see. Or worse turning over and see a white(kinda like snow on a tv) blob floating about 4inches from your face. Nothing here has ever hurt me, and when enough is enough I yell and it goes away for quite a while, but no I will not willingly sleep in my haunted bedroom!
