I know I could use Google to find my answer but I'd rather ask here. What do black cats symbolize? And, of course, I've always heard the superstition that a black cat crossing your path is bad luck. I've had quite a few black cats cross my path the last few weeks. One last night driving home through the boonies after a Halloween party in the Pine Barrens. I have a young male black cat about 7 months old that can actually unzipper my make-up pouch and steal the make-up brushes inside. None of my other cats can open that zipper except Mr. MontyQ. Why do people associate black cats with witches and stuff? I'd like to hear your opinions. Thanks.
I don't know why I even remember this, but I do. Way back when I was 4th-5th grade, I had a strange art teacher. Most of the kids were kinda scared of her because she dressed funny and was always talking at the top of her lungs. I always thought she was flippin' scarey. But I do remember one art/class trip we went on to a cemetery. We went there to do tombstone rubbings. We used that cheapo drawing paper, pretty big sheets, and taped them with masking tape to the tombstone. Then we used charcoal and gently rubbed the charcoal back and forth until we had a rather cool image of the tombstone. I don't really remember why we did this....only that we did. And I do believe it was in the fall and we were studying the Revolutionary War.
Have anyone of you ever done this? Tombstone rubbings?
I am thinking of starting a free banner exchange for anyone with a paranormal website. If you think this is a good idea then let me know. If there is enough interest I'd start it up.
