Red tail hawks are more common here.Here is what the Conservation Agent for my area said about the Red-shouldered hawk:"they've become increasingly common over the past 20 years or so in Missouri" This is the first time I noticed one, probably because it was only about 30 feet from me and wasn't scared of me.
