actually i see 3 children, 1 lower left a fair haired boy, 1 lower right a fair haired girl, one female figure holding a 1yr old or so fairhaired child at the hip on the left above the little boy in the lower corner. you can see the arm and hand of the baby reaching across the front of the lady below her head.

the grandfather is there too on the right and was mean and abusive, i sense the father died at war and she was left alone. i sense fire. but a tragic death that took her and twochildren all at once. the little girl in the right corner may have died prior of an illness that affected her breathing.
