Camera strap makes sense but why isn't the 'shadow' solid top to bottom if that is the case? Interesting photo.

What about the camera strap? Strp caused the white strand and the black is the shadow of the strap

This is the back side of St Louis Cathedral in New Orleans.  It was used as a dueling field so that in case some died in the duel a priest would be near by.


This picture was taken with a digital camera and I can't explain the white jagged edge or the black bar along the side. It was taken with a flash but there was nothing there to reflect off of or cause the black shadow If it were a film camera I would say I was at the end of the roll of film.


Thoughts?
