This hunt was my first overnight ghost hunt. Everyone was gathered by the stage to hear about the one armed stage hand ghost that was to be the resident ghost. Then we were told that there were no records to back the stories up.
We were broken up in to groups (way to many people/groups) then given our areas to investigate with the large groups switching areas every hour or so. There it was sad and funny at the same time that people were trying to do EVP work in the rooms under the stage while another large group was on the stage stomping, moving objects, talking nonstop, etc right on top of them. There was very little between the groups. The stage floor wasn't in good shape to start, but it allowed light from above to come in to the rooms below through cracks and openings. The flashlights from the people above made it hard to get a feel for the rooms. I tried to just sit in a corner and just close my eyes and listen (so many people it was hard to find floor to sit) once I started to just listen all I got was all the people in my group talking, moving, and the group above us making more noise. I attempted to get EMF readings which was a bad idea there were electronic boxes on most the walls all giving off high EMF and humms. Pictures in this area came up empty.
When our group went to the stage area I encountered the same problems flashlights, camera flash, and noise from below along with the same coming from the other large groups in the seating area on both upper and lower levels.
About 1am a lot of people started to leave, but that still left to many in the building. People left there groups (with still more areas to rotate) and just went were ever they wanted so this messed up the group rotations from there on out. The leader of all this remained at the front doors like he did the entire night, talking to his friends as they stopped by. The front doors was were the break area was set up. I was in the break area observing people going through pics and recordings. Someone would think they would have something interesting and jump up and show the guy that was running the show, I observed them get little to no attention good or bad.
I started to go to the less crowded areas to try to get a feel for the different areas; it was still hard to do. I was getting rather upset at the whole night. I was walking in the seating area off the stage to the left when my EMF meter went off. I had been over this area several times that night with out the meter's alarm going off that night and now it was going off. The area it was going off in seamed to be hanging in the air above the seats and not near any walls just in a small area in mid air hanging above the seats. I moved the meter up down side to side to get it zeroed in. I took numerous pics of this area. Only one pic had anything abnormal. The pic had a neon purple looking snake like object in the same area as the EMF spike. I would of thought this as a malfunction of the camera except for the pic was in focus, there were no bright purple or any other light any where near, and the pic showed that this thing was in mid air brightly lit and showing its own light on the seats it was above. This along with the high EMF reading seamed interesting. I showed this to a few people and then was being requested to email that pic to several people. I showed this to the ''guy running the show'' still glued to the front door and promptly got brushed off. I had just wanted to see if it could be explained away, I don't want to think I have evidence when I really don't, example dust or camera malfunction etc.
Later that night I saw a lady at the other end of the hall behind the seating, she was walking towards me (I could see her from the lights from the front doors and from the lights of an open doored bathroom). I saw her next to the bathroom video tapping as she walked towards me. I saw the heard her scream, the light in the bathroom went out (others stayed on) I heard a flush from that bathroom then the bathroom light came back on all happening in an instant. From my view I could see most the entire bathroom it was very small and well lit no one could have been in it and I could see the whole hallway no one else was around. I asked the lady what happened she said her video camera went from full battery to empty her arm was touched the light went out toilet flushed. If I had not of seen this I might of discounted it since I did not know the lady.
CONCLUSION My pic I find hard to explain away with it being in focus, it appears to be putting off light shining on the seats, and the high EMF that was in that exact area. The events of a light going off, a toilet flushing, and the lady screaming a sec before it happened seams hard to explain. I could see that no one else was in the bathroom or the hallway, I could see that the guy with knowledge of the building was at the front door not at a fuse box even if someone flipped a fuse for that light only how did the toilet flush (it was not an electronic or motion one).
Will I go back? Sadly no. I didn't like the way it was ran. *Again this was not a Nightwatch investigation.

PROBLEMS WITH INVESTIGATION

The house is off the road and the road is not heavily traveled. Only other light was from a farm some distance away. The house is in a bad run down condition no electricity or lines running on the house (great for EMF). The house has no water, when they tried to run water lines they dug up Indian bones and stopped. From what we were told an Indian came on to the property to bless the property.
The house is mainly built of cut limestone, and the story of limestone is that it is great for recording events (residual haunts). I do not agree nor do dismiss this just reporting this since there are numerous reports of this. The house has three stories and basement. The basement is not much one room was where the stone butcher table that's still there today. The entry is outside the main house. First floor has a nicely built fire place.
On this investigation I had a bad feeling but this feeling was not of paranormal origin. I could not find any info (besides what was put out by the one that set up the hunt) on this house being haunted. After being there with the leader and the members of the local historical society I got the feeling this was just an old local house that was empty and available to make money for both parties.
Instead of going through the mostly nondetails I will just report the on the paranormal. EMF alarm went off once on the front grounds and once on the top floor. Both times that it went off it was just a very short cherp. On the top floor myself and another investigator sat watching a end of the building in the full moon light we would see small shadows move (did not appear to be caused by clouds passing by the moon) the shadows were the size of a basketball. I usually dismiss this type of experience but my partner would say at the same time "did you see that". I did not respond with what I thought I had seen I would ask my partner to describe what they had seen. To my surprise she described the same thing. I would quiz her on was it moving, how fast, etc everything matched. We saw the small shadows move from left to right, right to left, and once from left to right mid way then towards us. All of this was confirmed between us with the ways described above we never saw different thing all the same. If we would have gotten one wrong I would have not been to incline to report it.
Later that night some members attempted to talk to the spirits; during this time a few people stated high EMF (I did not). When I heard of the others getting high EMF I took 3 pics the first and last ones were clear and sharp, the middle one was to me interesting. In the pic there were colors that were not present, strange light effects, and no clear person in the pic. The pic was of the group as the high EMF was reported. I have the pic on my iamhaunted page. This pic could be classified by some as a vortex or mist; I would lean towards the vortex. I have taken hundreds of pics in all types of conditions and have never gotten anything close to this pic.

On conclusion one could dismiss the shadows as tricks of the eyes, EMF spikes as just earth spikes, and the weird pic just the camera not focusing. I find some of this interesting as the shadows were confirmed by two people, the EMF spike was on the top floor (way off the ground), and weird pic that I have never seen anything like (I picked this camera for its known ability to take good pics) happened during an EMF spike as a circle of people were trying to talk to "the spirits".
Would I go back? Only in a small group of experienced investigators.
