I hope everyone had a wonderfull Thanksgiving. I know we sure did visiting with family and friends. That is what the holidays are about, family and friends. Sometimes I wish we could have thanksgiving together but I guess we did in our hearts. Now lets march onto Christmas!
Hey guys! I just wanted to write a short blog and say sorry for my absence here of late. We had a wonderfull time at Mid South and look forward to next year. As soon as we got back my husbands father was in a bad accident and had to be cut out of his jeep cherokee. He is lucky to be alive, judgeing by the look of his vehicle. He is doing ok and is still in the hospital. Pnemonia has set in and they are doing breathing treatments on him. Other than that he is doing remarkably better. We just been busy with working and going to the hospital alot. Hopefully he will get to come home soon. Keep us in your prayers and I am glad to be back I will keep you all updated on his status.
I was just wanting to know everyone's opinion on imaginary friends. When I was a child I had a imaginary friend named Jenny. I played with her all the time. The older I got I didn't play with her as much. My mother never said anything about it she just let me play my little heart out. (Even though later in life she told me that my father would stand with me every morning while I waited on the school bus and he had passed away.) I have had people tell me that imaginary friends are much more. Are they spirit guides, angels or just imaginary? I don't consider myself a sensitive or anything like that but I was just wondering what are imaginary friends, are they just imaginary or something more?
Hi everyone! I know I am late posting this but here it is. I want to thank Steven ******** for starting this and I hope everyone enjoys my bio. LOL!
My name is Shelly Beard and I was born in Memphis Tennesse August 13, 1975. My birth mother was unable to take care of me so she let my great aunt adopt me when I was about 6 months old. When I was 5 we moved from Memphis to Batesvill Mississippi where I still live today.
My father passed when I was 8 and it was just my mother and brother who is 10 years older than me. I guess I first got interested in the paranormal shortly after my father passed because I would hear my mother talking to him all the time and he did pass in the house that we lived in. The same house my husband and I bought back from the bank 4 years ago. I remember my mother telling me that she would watch my father stand beside me while I waited on the school bus every morning. Once I got on the bus he would disappear. She said this went on for years until I became a teenager and no longer rode the bus. The other experience I had with the paranormal was about a year after my dad passed. I slept in the bed with my mother cause her and dad had seperate bedrooms they always did. After he passed they turned his room into my room but I never slept in there that much I am not sure why I didn't but anyway me and mom were asleep and I woke up (not sure what time) and her bed faced a window in the bedroom. I looked up and saw a young girl with black hair staring in at me. I turned to wake up my mom to tell her that some stranger is lurking outside and get the gun. She would not wake up. So I looked back at the window and the girl was gone. I settled back in to go back to sleep when something grabbed my ankle and started pulling me out of the bed. My mother woke up then and tried to pull me back up but whatever it was just kept pulling me back. Finally she got me back up in the bed and we just laid there and held each other. That never happened again and my mother never spoke of it and told me not to either. From then on I was interested in the paranormal and it has not stopped since. The first book I ever read was Haunted Houses by Richard Winer and Nancy Osborn.
My mother passed away in June of 1996 and I was reunited with my old boyfriend from school and we got married in August of 1998. We had our beautiful daughter in November of 2000 and have 2 fur babies. Our cat Tom and our dog Lele plus one turtle named Scooter that the dog drug up.
We bought the house I grew up in back in 2004 and remodled it and moved in March 2006. I finally met my biological family in 1995 also and we remain close.
I have since joined a paranormal group here in Ms. called Haunted Mississippi Paranormal Research group. We are a new group just starting out and I think we have an awsome team.
That's me in a nutshell there is more to tell but that will have to be another day. Again I want to that Steven for starting this so we can all learn a lil bout each other. To me everyone here is my extended family. My paranormal family. Of whom I love each of you. In the meantime be safe and Happy Hauntings!
