Yes it's me the resident bungler! I did a card reading for someone, I usually don't for non-family members. I saw a chance to help out the Animal Shelter with some cash. The reading went well everything in it's place. Then the lady asked me a question, "Could I tell her about her friends death in May." She gave me sketchy details, so I figured, I could try. I took her hand and saw the dead woman, described her in detail. Then the dead woman looked up at me! I dropped the ladies hand immediately, told her I was finished. Now the family wants me to give them more details. This woman was creepy dead, not what I usually see. Was she icky looking because it was a suspected homicide? If I touch her car, will I see her not icky dead but alive? I know this sounds fabricated, this is the honest truth. I don't think I want to earn anymore Animal Shelter money. Can anyone answer my questions? I know some resident smartass is going to harass me=( spookycat
I'm back from what I call the "burning sands of Death" or the beach. Yes, I didn't know that the sand reached 120 degrees. We went to a new beach called South Padre Island, my son's idea. He dropped us off to find parking, haha. We frisked around in the noon day sun, in and out of the water. I had on 3 layers of 50 sunblock, I wasn't sweatin' the burn. Let me just say that flip flops are not appropriate on the burning sands of death, don't wear them! Anyway we got tired of waiting for our ride so we were going back alone. Our key card wouldn't open the gate! We had to dash across the 50 ft. of burning death! In the middle I fell over on my back on a Dune and told my husband go get help. As I lay there with my burning feet straight in the air, I laid on a thorn plant, which I couldn't feel because of my feet. He came back, hoisted me to my feet, pulled me 25 ft. When we reached the street he poured ice water on my seared feet. I managed to walk to the hotel, cursing and sore. When we got to the room my son and his girlfriend where laying on the bed eating Whataburger! I think I was suffering heat exhaustion, after the shower I passed out for 2 hours, this was only day#1...
Errr, since I haven't learned how to send Bulletins yet, I'm going to be out of service for a couple of days. Unless my beloved son brings his laptop! So have a great weekend all my friends! The rest of you too! spookycat
Nursing Home! I do mean Hail! We were pounded last night it broke out 5 windows, a co-workers windshield, and a side window on my car. I opened the door to grab a Hailstone the size of a tennisball, the wind picked up and started blowing all the stuff around the yard. It was screaming and pouring rain. Being somewhat intelligent I beat a hasty retreat into the building. Just one pr oblem, the wind was sucking at the door and I couldn't close it during the Maelstreom. I was slowly losing the battle with the door, I yelled for help from my co-worker who was running from the area. Luckily a male patient was there and helped close the door. Thank heaven he was there, I'd been flying like the Wicked Witch in the Wizard of Oz! It seems we may have caught the tail end of a Tornado. In the daylight we got a better look at the damage. Several trees down and the privacy fence was torn up. I feel I came out pretty lucky. This was worse then any haunted happenings! So that's my terror tale...
I've tried to go on without saying anything. My 17 1/2 y/o cat died in my arms last Thursday. I've been nursing him for weeks. They called today to say Bears ashes were ready. I'm losing it. I see him everywhere, it's awful, because while this is happening my heart can't heal. Believe me it's broken in 1000 pieces. Most everyone here has been supportive, some indifferent. It feels like one of my children has died....I know this isn't a grief site. I just really miss my SnuggleBear.....
Thanks everyone for the good thoughts. Anna is out of the hosp! She's very sassy right now because she can't go to school until Mon.! Anna has Brain Stem seizures, she hadn't had one in 3 years. But she's growing, and is very upset she can't walk like all the other kids in school. She's unable to speak clearly, but she makes herself understood! She's been yelling at everyone about the walking. She just can't get up and walk. She'll need therapy, and adaptive equipment, it'll take time. So she stresses herself out, and won't listen to reason, it's hard being 7. She has other Seizures, they increased her medicine for those too. We're out in a liferaft on choppy seas, let me tell you! So now all I have to worry about is my dying 17 1/2 y/o cat Bear. I'm telling you what a week! My best to all of you. spookycat
Awhile. My 7 y/o granddaughter is back in the hosp. She had to have CPR at school today to keep her here. The schools phones went out and they couldn't call 911. If it wasn't for her nurse, and the school nurse we'd be planning a funeral tonight. There is some other smaller trivia occuring too. I'll pop in to check everyone out, hopefully this'll be over by next week. Please say a prayer for our Anna. Spookycat
What bliss, what joy! As if all the activity at the home wasn't enough, my son announced he is interested in paranormal research! I guess nothing gets you interested, like a haunted job site. lol He wants to know what equipment he needs to get, I of course haven't got a clue. I guess it's true that the nut doesn't fall far from the tree!
As I reported in a blog on 3/18/08 activity at the home was quite brisk. 3/19/08 at 3 am sharp the banging at the front window started again. Naturally I couldn't find anyone in the yard. The same aide was with me, she became terrified and wanted to leave. I assured her it would stop, nothing was going to happen to her. Then a funny thing happened, I started to laugh at it. I told it that I was sick of it's Parlour tricks, give me something to be scared of. All was quiet for the night. 3/20/08 around the same 3 am slot, a different aide came up complaining something was banging at the backdoor. I told her just ignore it, it would go away. As I was sitting at the desk, the front door seemed to slam shut, but no one or nothing was around, once again. This has been the most action I have ever witnessed in this Home. By the way if a responsible adult asks to borrow your Digital camera, and they're your Mom, let them. Well this is my Equinox post, until fall. spookycat
