Did you know it is possible to know whether you have everlasting life? Did you know that, according to the Bible, if you repent of your sins and receive Jesus Christ into your life as Lord and Savior, you will be saved from eternal punishment in Hell when you die? How To Be Born Again How do people become “saved” and “born again” Christians? How can you receive eternal life so that you will be sure to go to be with God when you die? A widely distributed Christian tract says the following is what the Bible requires. Admit that you are a sinner. No one is perfect. The bible teaches us that we fall short of perfection. There is not one person who is sinless.
For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one. Romans 3:10 The Consequences Of Sin Our imperfection costs us something. There are definite and eternal consequences for our sins. For the wages of sin is death. Romans 6:23 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. Revelations 20:14-15 We can see from these verses that the cost is high and the consequences severe. We know that physical death means separation of the soul from the physical body. However, spiritual death is even more severe. It results in separation of the soul from God for all eternity. But God’s great love for us would not allow Him to stand idly by. His love for us compelled Him to give His greatest gift. This gift would make it possible for us to never be separated from God. God’s Gift To Us. We should all be glad that God’s Word does not end with judgment of sin. It only begins there to show us the way out of damnation. But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our lord. Romans 6:23
For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16 God’s love for us was and is so intense, that He made the greatest sacrifice ever recorded. God gave us the ultimate gift. He gave His Son, Jesus. When Jesus died on the cross, he paid the price for our sin. What will you do with God’s gift to you? Know That You Cannot Save Yourself. Just being a good person is not enough to be saved. You must be born again.
Not by works of righteousness, which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us. Titus 3:5 Our Response To God God’s tremendous gift requires a response. God did what we could not do. He gave what we could not give. He gave what we could not give. He paid the price that we could not pay. What does he expect from us? His word tells us… If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness: and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10:9, 10 How will you respond to god? God’s Promise When God makes a promise you can count on it!! You never need to doubt His word. This is undoubtly the greatest promise you will ever find.
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13 Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved. Acts 16:31 Call on God If you will accept Jesus Christ as your Savior, simply pray and ask Him to forgive you for your sin and be your savior. You can pray in your own words or you can pray something like the sample prayer below. If you will call on him now, placing your faith and trust in Him, he will keep His promise to you. Can you genuinely say a prayer like the following? If you are sincere, God will immediately save you and give you everlasting life. A guide to what to pray: “Dear Father in Heaven, I realize that I am a sinner and need forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ died for my sins [wrongdoings]. I am willing to turn from my sins and lead the life you want me to lead. I now ask Jesus Christ to come into my heart and I receive Him into my life as my personal Savior. I am willing, by God's grace, to follow and obey Christ as the Lord of my life.” What next? Would you like to show your faith in Jesus right now? Start by letting someone (another Christian) know you are saved. Get a Bible and read it every day to get to know Jesus Christ better. Talk to God in prayer every day. Tell others about Christ. Join a Bible-believing church and get baptized. Worship, fellowship, and serve with other Christians in a church that truly believes the Bible and where Christ is preached. As a born-again Christian you will now miss out on the terror of what the Bible describes as the alternative to spending eternity in Heaven — the everlasting fiery torment of Hell.
Well it has been a while since the whole thing happened but evrything is turning out okay. We still have our dogs and so far all that has happened is the "victim" just wants our insurance to pay for the bills. Which are covered. But I'm still kinda in bad spot emotionally. I just wish I knew more about how the guy is doing. Well all I can do is keep praying and ask for all you ro pray for me ,too. Thanks for all your responses and support.
Merry Christmas

Six days ago my dogs had escaped from the back yard. Someone had left the gate unlocked which was unknown to me. They apparently went after a small dog and his owner got bit trying to protect his dog. This man and his dog have a history of nusance to the neighborhood and i have seen him purposely antagonize my dogs.
Anyways the man had two or three stitches on his elbow and the dog had a couple cuts, but no more 2 days later the man was walking his dog by ours house. No apparent bandages or extreme physical damage to him or his dog.
Ofcourse I extremely concerned for him and whatever emotional trauma his has gotten, but this is extremely hard on me aswell. My dogs have had no history of violence or aggression towards anyone before, they love everyone especially children.
Now even after almost a week later they are still they gentle, loving animals I always known. I helped to deliver both of them, along with their siblings, and I have cared for them since.
I have no children, so its just me and my boyfriend and our pets, so we are very attached and spoil them, plus extremely protective of them. We were allowed to keep them after the incident, but we have yet to hear anything from the man that was bitten or the legal officials. We have been told they could be taken away or put down cause ohio has a zero tolerance law as far a dog bite. Also we could possibly loose our insurance coverage if we are allowed to keep them.
I didnot see the attack so I dont know what exactly happened as far as I know they were trying to be playing and got a little rough.
I have been in tears and emotional wreck since that day. I keep praying for God to help, but still cant help it. I find I cry at the drop of a hat lately.
I feel anger at whoever left that damn gate open, concern for the man and his dog, and great sadness every time I look at my dogs. I just wish it all could be over with, as they say the wait is the worst.
Sorry about the lengthy whine fest, I just needed to get it out there.

I just saw that movie An American Haunting last nite , and I loved it. It was awsome how in the end it was the little girl protecting herself. I enjoy movies with a twist like The Village and The Others.
Ofcourse my nephews were watching it with me and it brought the subject of parental violence towards their children. I was floored at first as to what to say, but I told them thats this kinda thing is very real and does happen. I explained to them the general facts and left out some of the more horrific details. I did stress it was extremely wrong and that it just isnt in family but there are bad people (strangers ) out there that do horrible things to childen too.
They were very open in the discussion and had a very good understanding of the whole dont-talk- too-strangers and that sorta stuff to my great relief.
I do understand the whole psychological theories behind why people do these disgusting things but for some reason I still just ... i dont know.. it just makes me so angry ...grrrrrrrrr. To me there is NO EXCUSE.
Am I wrong to feel this way!? I dont think so!
Why are there so many polls about getting permission from a property owner concerning evidence ?
I mean come on people , these property owners give permission for an investigation cause they wanna know, so ofcourse you share the evidence with them. Just be proffessional about it .
And YOU SHOULD get their permission to post it on the web or share it with people of the paranormal research society. Its called respect and common curtisy.
Would you like something from your personal life put out there, especially if aren't comfortable with it ?
Besides if you get them mad it could ruin your groups rep.
Thanks eveyone for the advice and personal stories.
I will tell my parents eventually, i just gotta get the courage. lol
The religon thing will play a big part in my mom's response to my being a paranormal investigator. I might be the group smart butt but I do take it very seriously. I just hope and pray she takes it well.
Ofcourse when my siblings sit and talk about the haunted house we grew up in, Mom just kinda sits there and ignores us. I think she likes to pretend its all in our heads.
For me I cant ignore the things that have happened to me. Like I used to get terrible nightmares involving death and some people I never Known. Sometimes I would wake up and still see things. Ofcourse everyone in my family knew I had bad dreams, but I never told them how bad.
Once we moved out they stopped. I still get nightmares but they're more the normal type..if you know what I mean.
Needless to say that kinda thing sticks with ya. I dont know why but it seems like I attract spirits or something. I still get the occassional paranormal experience, even before I had become an investigator, but I am also a logical thinker and very spectical.
So if I can debunk it, then I know whats left is something paranormal.
Thanks for listening to my ramblings.
How does your family react to you being paranormal investigator?
I was raised in very religious family, my step mother is a very devote christian. so the whole paranormal thing is kinda taboo with her. but my dad has always been more open mided than her. he believed our home was haunted. yet i havent told them yet just cause they will lecture me on the dangers and silliness of it all till the end of time.
ofcourse my syblings have been supportive especially my sister. she loves hearing about the investigations my group goes on. i have a cousin who is an atheist and she thinks its a total waste of my time.
i am just glad my boyfriend is supportive, even though he might not completely understand the paranormal, atleast he'll sit and listen to me. he also puts up with my fav tv shows and documentaries concerning the paranormal. i am just grateful to be with him.
The thing is i wanna tell my parents cause we are close just how to i go about it ?
